Trying

Une minute de lecture

Aley is not okay. She feels like a nothing, waiting to be something. She feels like a bird with one wing. Trying desperately to fly, agitating her body. Exhausted, powerless, but still looking for a way to get better. And not finding it. Never. Ever.

She runs after something she can't find. Her good life doesn't feel so good. She's not happy with what she eats, not happy when she chooses to fast. She doesn't feel like sleeping but what she does when she's awake is not so fun. She's spending time. Step by step, with her one useless wing. Crawling through a beautiful land she can't feel.

Aley knows she's lucky. Aley tries to feel good. She tries to make the right choices, to live the current time without waiting it to end.

But she has always been like that. Waiting. Waiting for the end. Trying to enjoy the moments to make them feel less long.

She's the incarnation of frustration. She knows she can access this. She knows she can feel good and happy. Having sweet times... She just doesn't find the right way to do so.

Never.

Ever.

She's a bird with one wing. She left herself behind. She left herself for dead. And now, all she can do is trying. Trying. And Trying again. To finally fall to one side of life, whatever it may be.
